U.S. Customs Form: CBP Form 1302 – Inward Cargo Declaration

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Form 1302 is used to declare goods being brought through the territory of the United States with the intention of clearing Customs at an inward port.  Many people don’t realize it, but in fact most U.S. ports are not on the ocean at all. Instead, there is a port at virtually every airport as well as a variety of rail and truck-processing facilities.  The Inward Cargo Declaration, CBP Form 1302,  is used by importers and their customs brokers to let Customs know that you are bringing goods through a port with the intention of clearing Customs at another, inland port.
